I don’t like the idea of doing weird favors that aren’t practical and get thrown away or lost. People close to the wedding can get something nice, everyone else should get something they will use or they can eat.
I like the idea of candy or some sort of snack food. CHoclate truffles are classy and delicious. I love choclate covered pretzels. You could try for something healtier if you wanted, but most people on diets could have one piece of candy every once in a while.
I also like giving out coffee and/or tea as favors. Most people would use it, and you can get small packs and you can dress it up niceley.
Small picture frames can be nice, but I wouldn’t put their names or the date on it so they could use it for something else. You could make up some cute cards with the name and date on it, but then they could put in something else if they wanted to. Small ones can be used for name cards.
I like using pens. These you could get names on because people will use them no matter what is on them.

For any edibles from that area most people prefer edible favors while others dont it depends on your preferences.

The date and tasty too it had dual uses dont want to wedding cake with the bride and these were professionally.

Flower seeds or tree plantings native to your area? There are websites where you can order little cards with heart-shaped papers attached them that have flower seeds embedded in the paper, and instructions on how to plant them.
Otherwise, anything edible would be good. Candy, honey sticks, etc.
